LEARN THE TRUTH BEHIND THE ATTACKS

With days left until the November 5th election, out-of-state, national Democrat groups are pouring thousands of dollars into this race attacking Leslie Hajdukovich and her supporters, labeling them as extreme, wrong for Alaska and anti-law enforcement. These attacks are completely dishonest and couldn't be further from the truth.

The Washington, D.C.-based group behind these attack ads, the American Leadership Committee-Alaska, is solely focused on building Democratic majorities and far left-leaning agendas in state legislatures across the country, and their Chair, Heather Kashner, is the Executive Director of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee—the very organization bankrolling the entire ad campaign.

FALSE CLAIM # 1: “LESLIE HAJDUKOVICH THREATENS OUR WAY OF LIFE”

Leslie Hajdukovich stands strong with our law enforcement community, first responders, and public safety officers. She strongly believes public safety is one of the key roles of government and we must ensure we support adequate funding and resources for local law enforcement.

Leslie has a proven track record of working across party lines to deliver results for our community. As a State Senator, she is committed to working with anyone – Republican, Democrat or Independent – to do what’s right for our community, workers and families. Throughout her time in public service and as a dedicated member of the Fairbanks community, including 6 years on the Fairbanks School Board, she valued differing viewpoints and political perspectives, and helped foster consensus on complex community issues involving multiple stakeholders.

Leslie is a person who works to bring people together and find common ground, rather than fostering division. She will work tirelessly on behalf of our public safety community to ensure they have the resources, tools and support to do their jobs and safely return home to their families.

FALSE CLAIM #2: “SHE OPPOSES MEASURES TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE”

Leslie Hajdukovich has always been a strong advocate for law enforcement and our first responders. As a 5th generation Alaskan and lifelong Fairbanks, she knows the importance of safe communities and the critical role our law enforcement community serves in making Fairbanks a safer, more prosperous community.

As U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan’s Fairbanks Regional Director, Leslie worked closely to deliver critical support for local law enforcement, including advocating for grants, securing increases in funding for vital equipment, and improving community policing. She spent years working with local law enforcement to facilitate visits at police stations, fire stations, and Trooper stations to better understand the views of our law enforcement and first responders on a regular basis – an approach she plans to take as a State Senator.

FALSE CLAIM #3: “SHE WOULD JOIN POLITICIANS WHO BLOCKED FUNDING FOR POLICE AND VOTED AGAINST RESOURCES FOR FIRST RESPONDERS”

Leslie Hajdukovich believes public safety is one of the key roles of government and we must ensure we support adequate funding and resources for local law enforcement, Alaska State Troopers, Village Public Safety Officers (VPSOs) to create safer communities for all Alaskans and combat human trafficking, domestic violence and abuse.

As your next State Senator, Leslie Hajdukovich will prioritize public safety, law enforcement and first responders. She will advocate for increased resources to address longstanding issues relating to the recruitment and retention of law enforcement offices, including local police, Alaska State Troops and Village Safety Officers. She will fight to increase funding for staffing and personnel, and champion investments for new assets to ensure our public safety officers have the resources they need to do their jobs.

A TRUSTED VOICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRST RESPONDERS AND PUBLIC SAFETY

"I’m honored to have the backing of Ron Wall and other local law enforcement officers and first responders who put their lives on the line to keep our families safe."

Retired Alaska State Trooper Ron Wall: "As a 31-year member of the Alaska State Troopers, including serving 26 years right here in Fairbanks, I'm honored to support Leslie Hajdukovich for State Senate. Leslie knows this community inside and out, and she understands what it takes to keep our community safe. I’ve seen firsthand how much law enforcement needs strong advocates, and I believe Leslie will stand up for those who protect us. She is committed to addressing the challenges we face and ensuring that Fairbanks remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. Leslie is the right leadership at the right time, and I’m proud to give her my full support."
